Great Artists!

Today, we were inspired by Jackson Pollock.  We learned where he was born and his favorite kind of painting!  Splatter Paint! So fun!

Check out one of my little artists!

On Monday, we were inspired by Michelangelo.  We laid on our backs and painted our masterpieces on the underside of the tables.

  1. It's fantastic to see creative art and social studies working in tandem! Too often, I observe teachers who are more worried about the standards than they are about having fun. If only we could help all teachers understand that the children learn and retain so much more when they're also having a great time!!!

  2. I like Pollock's work too. Awesome work! Just curious. Did the child who painted the picture say what it was? I know the process is more important than the product. i just like to hear the explanations children come up with in regards to art work.
